Welcome to the SvelteMap (formerly known as the SvelteSelf Map), the first cornerstone of the SvelteLife Weight Loss System.  The SvelteMap is a unique, motivational goal-setting system, and provides the skeleton around which to build all your future weight loss efforts.  It is the roadmap you will follow all the way to your weight loss destination and beyond.  Without it, it is likely you will get lost somewhere along the way.

The key to long-term success, before you set a goal to lose weight, is to set two other goals first:

  1. Become healthy
  2. Not to gain weight (from where you are now)


If weight loss is you primary goal, then you will fight a losing battle.  Everything you do, from this point forward, must be centered around the accomplishment of these two goals.  Then, and only then, will you begin to achieve permanent weight loss, which should be your third goal.  Because most weight loss efforts result in eventual weight gain (i.e., a failure to meet the second goal), all efforts you make to lose weight must be done in a fashion that will prevent this.  The principles and methods found in SvelteLife, including the SvelteMap, provide you with the tools to accomplish all three goals.

It should go without saying that trying to lose weight without setting goals represents no more than a wish.  The SvelteMap provides you with a framework on which to develop your goals.  It helps you lose weight at a pace that will give you the highest chance of keeping the weight off, along with helping you set reasonable exercise and calorie intake goals.  It also provides a reward system.  As you fill it out, it becomes a colorful, lively visual display of your progress.
