Welcome to The SvelteLife Fitness Plan, the fourth cornerstone of the SvelteLife Weight Loss System. We also like to call this plan "Exercise for Life," as it is designed both to significantly improve your quality of life and to last your entire lifetime. Many misconceptions abound about exercise - how much and what type is needed, what constitutes exercise, etc. SvelteLife helps to dispel these misconceptions and to answer many of the questions you have about exercise.
Exercise is actually a two-edged sword. Each edge has an opposite effect on your eating habits. On one hand, when you work out, you work up an appetite. This is a direct result of your body's self-protective mechanisms. Exercise increases your appetite because your body wants to replenish the calories you just burned off by making you eat. That is why some people gain weight after starting an exercise program (not because of muscle!). The only way to overcome this self-protection mechanism is by following the three R's of The SvelteLife Fitness Plan.
The other edge of the two-edged sword is the positive way exercise can affect your eating habits. If you approach exercise in the right way, it will actually make you eat better, which is the main reason exercise helps you lose weight.
