Dr. Cluff has a passion for weight management. This passion began to develop when he started putting on weight around the time he got married (1992). Through his entire training he gathered information, made observations, and developed strategies which helped to reverse his own weight gain, after which he has helped many others. He has been actively treating weight problems for 11 years, and is currently a member of the City of Irving Childhood Obesity Task Force.
He also has interests in pediatrics, women's health, thyroid disorders, sports injuries, preventive medicine, adolescent health, dermatology, and minor office procedures. His hobbies include competitive volleyball, racquetball, computers, writing, playing piano, singing, watching movies, and spending time with his wife, Sandra, and six children, ages 3-15. He is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Cluff received his Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas, and did his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Conroe, Texas. Prior to medical school he performed genetic and immunological research at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. Cluff is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
